Square D QO 20 Amp Two-Pole CAFCI Circuit Breaker

Square D QO 2-Pole Combination Arc Fault Circuit Breakers help save time and money on your installations. These circuit breakers are designed specifically for use on shared-neutral (multi-wire) branch circuits where the neutral connection is “shared” between two separate circuits. By reducing the number of runs and the number of wires there is likely a savings in both time and materials. In shared-neutral installations, two 120 V circuits are fed from a single 2-Pole circuit breaker. Instead of running two separate 2-wire “home runs” (the wire from the electric panel to the first device on the circuit), the 2-Pole Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI in short), allows the electrical installer to run a single 3-wire run.

Provide enhanced protection against home electrical fires

The Square D by Schneider Electric QO 20 Amp Two-Pole Combination AFCI Circuit Breaker helps protect your wires from arcing faults and is intended for overload and short-circuits protection of your electrical system. Unlike standard thermal-magnetic circuit breakers that cannot detect dangerous arcs, Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI) circuit breakers detect arcs and shut down a circuit before a fire starts. Advanced electronic technology monitors the circuit for the presence of dangerous arcing conditions. If such conditions are observed, the circuit breaker trips, cutting off the current and voltage to the arc fault which helps to keep people and property safe.

Square D QO Advantage

QO (Qwik-Open) was introduced in 1956 and is recognized as the industry standard for circuit protection earning its tag “The World’s Finest. ” QO circuit breakers are ¾ inch wide which means shorter load centers and less wire needed to reach branch breakers. The exclusive Visi-Trip indicator makes it easy to spot a tripped breaker.

TIME SAVER Diagnostics shows why a trip occurred

TIME SAVER Diagnostics identify circuit issues faster. The TIME SAVER sequence is simple and easy to use, and requires no tools or special training. Simply turn off the circuit breaker, hold down the Push-To-Test button, and then turn the circuit breaker back on. It’s that simple! TIME SAVER Diagnostics is equipped in all Square D Homeline and QO(B) CAFCI Circuit Breakers (1-Pole and 2-Pole) and Dual Function Circuit Breakers with a date code of 1130 or higher. For more information on QO and Homeline 2-Pole Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters, ask your authorized Schneider Electric distributor.
