Description

The Fowler 52-611-011 EZ-Read tube micrometer has a 0 to 1″ measuring range to measure the wall thickness of tubing. The digit scale has 0.0001″ graduations and an accuracy of 0.0003″ for precise readings and accurate measurements. Carbide-tipped anvils provide wear resistance and are fitted with an adjusting collar to set the overall dimension. The spindle thread is hardened, ground, and micro-lapped to provide smooth movement, accuracy, and long life. The positive locking lever on the spindle locks measurements in place for accurate readings. A friction thimble provides smooth and quiet operations, and is suitable for one-handed operation. Friction-style thimbles stop turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. The heat-insulated steel frame helps reduce temperature-related expansion or contraction providing accurate measurements. The micrometer includes a fitted case.
