EcoFoil Single Bubble Reflective Insulation (Foil both sides) is constructed with a single layer of polyethylene bubbles bonded between 2 layers of 99.9% pure aluminum radiant barrier. All radiant barriers need at least a small amount of air space on both sides for the foil to reflect properly. Our foil bubble insulation can be applied in tight spaces like under basement walls or between floor joists and serve both as an insulator AND a radiant barrier, because the bubble layer provides an R-value, as well as that air space which the foil needs to properly reflect radiant heat. EcoFoil reflective insulation is specially designed for use in residential, commercial and HVAC applications to reduce radiant heat gain or loss, and eliminate condensation. This style can be used in a variety of applications because of its thin, lightweight properties, and works especially well in metal and post frame buildings. The foil on both sides allows it to reflect 97% of radiant heat away from a structure on the outside and back into a structure from the inside – thus working effectively in both hot and cold climates.This “green” insulation will pay for itself quickly, by significantly reducing the amount of heat leaving or entering any structure where it is applied, therefore making your building or living space more comfortable while reducing overall energy utility costs.
